Rob Butler provides a bespoke, intelligent and discreet service of communication counsel to corporations, NGOs and prominent individuals. He combines fifteen years as a TV network news anchor and journalist with more than a decade delivering reputation management consultancy with integrity and professional insight.

Services offered are both strategic and tactical: encompassing analysis of reputational risks, stress-testing of communication plans, development and sense-checking of messaging, crisis communications advice, media training and presentation coaching.

He brings an objective, impartial view, most often working directly to CEOs, owners or principals, but also alongside in-house corporate affairs teams and external agencies. Rob started his career at the BBC – presenting and producing the news for BBC World and BBC 1. Specialising in business, he reported from across the UK, Ireland, France, the US, Taiwan, Pakistan and the Philippines.

Rob moved to ITN for the launch of Channel 5, anchoring his own programme Five News at Noon for seven years, interviewing everyone from Cabinet Ministers to pop stars; sporting heroes to convicted criminals. He hosted talk and quiz shows as well as presenting documentaries.

Rob has a particular specialism in extremely fast-changing scenarios such as corporate and political crises, change management and “overnight celebrities”.

His emphasis is very much on one-to-one advice, as advisor, coach and mentor – a highly personalised communications consultancy.
